MSG Signal

Anyone noticed how far down the signal is this morning, I think mine has gone down the proverbial cliff, strength at 98% but quality down to 60%, our weather here is completely socked in and heavy drizzle so assume that is the problem but never seen it this bad before.

Thanks, for the report David, nice to know you are getting reception up North, been having some weird quality reception lately so will investigate the LNB and settings when I can get to the Dish but at the moment its pouring down almost freezing rain, wondet if the high winds in the past have moved my dish but as I have 98% Signal which I have always had it seems a bit odd, but who knows you learn something new every day in this hobby.

Mike,
Well, my SNR is down this morning but it's raining, not heavily, but thick cloud and getting darker.
I reckon I'm around 0.5 dB down on BS/HVS-1.
Power is -18 dBm as always.
Regards,
John

Thanks, John, well it's pretty grim here in Portland this morning wind is increasing and Barometer has been dropping fast in the last hours or two, and forecast is for strong winds in excess of 50mph later , we are uised to it but it knocks hell out of all the antennas, satellite signal is still well down and I have lost data all together now.

Can you give the SNR in dB which will be in common with other reports? Dishes are so easily disturbed! 73, David GM8ARV -- SatSignal Software - Quality software for you Web: https://www.satsignal.eu Email: david-taylor@... Twitter: @gm8arv |

Well guys thats odd me complaining of low signal then I read that the new service provider has caused many stations some problems so they switch back to the original, and today my signal and quality is way back up again, interesting indded.
