Meteosat-12 Kepler data available....

Folks,

METEOSAT-12 is now listed at CelesTrak! It has the NORAD number 54743, which you can add to the "My Favourites" list in my Kepler Updater software.

It works in WXtrack, of course, as does EUTELSAT 10B.

Cheers,
David

David,

Thanks for the nudge.
I looked the other day but it wasn't in the 'new list.'

If I recall correctly in the past 'meteosat's' are quite quickly steered into geostationary orbit.

E 10-B is (I think) still in transfer orbit and still it seems(?) are Hotbird 13F launched in October and Hotbird 13G launched in November.

Regarding E 10-B in WXtrack, I'm just running that satellite on an active bank map.
What do the dashed black and red lines across the map indicate?

Oh sorry another question.
With the NORAD number, do you just place that in your 'favourites' or other .txt file alone and when you update your Keps, it will then fill in the parameters?

I have been copying and pasting Tom's Keps from his website.

Regards,
John

John,

Dashed red/black line: coverage of ground station(s) coloured red/black - for polar orbiters.

With the Kepler Updater - just add the NORAD number to the list already present and run the program.

Cheers,
David
