AQUA MODIS

I am currently testing the Satpy scripts, I wanted to take the MODIS L1 AQUA data.
 
I just noticed that I am not getting anything so I am getting the MODIS L1 TERRA data
 
Am I missing something?

Manu,

you should get both data Aqua and Terra. These are Northern Hemisphere only (similar EARS) but have HUGE timeliness. From the actual satellite pass over some POI to the dissemination over EUMETCast it's up to 7 Hours.

I think Aqua shut down due to an unknown problem recently.
It's probably in safe mode until they can find the cause.

Aqua is no longer in safe mode but not generating science data until diagnostic data can be dumped and further analysis is complete.

Estimated recovery of Aqua science is currently ~April 14.

The Aqua safe mode event on March 31 was triggered by On Board Fault Management automatically swapping to the redundant Power Controller (PC-B) unit. On April 13, the Flight Operations Team (FOT) successfully swapped to Power Controller A (PC-A).  PC-A performance was nominal.  Following the swap, the FOT recovered the spacecraft to Fine Point Mode (FPM), then transitioned the AIRS and AMSU instruments to their nominal science configurations.  The Spacecraft bus is now in nominal configuration.  Day 1 of Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) commanding has completed and is nominal.

 

MODIS and the FOT will resume MODIS commanding on April 14, 2022. Following the MODIS transition to science, the FOT will transition Cloud's and the Earth's Radiant Energy System (CERES) Fore and Aft to their respective nominal science configuration.  This will complete the anomaly recovery.
