Ayecka SR1 settings for HVS-2 operation

For those using an Ayecka SR1 for HVS-2 reception, renumber to set the vertical polarisation by setting the "LNB power" to 18V. Screen-shot attached.

Use your "single-cable, dual tuner" for BAS on one tuner and HVS-1 on the other. All being well, if HVS-1 drops just below the usable link margin, BAS may carry on. Not tested here at the moment. Two cables from the LNB required, of course.

David I am using the Ayecka SR1 at the moment for basic/HVS-1 service and the setting is for 18v. Is vertical not 13v.

Regards
Ian.

Ian,

You are 100% correct! Revised screenshot attached.

Background: that particular SR1 is driven from a two-way splitter with a DC block in its path. The LNB is actually powered from tuner 2 of my TBS 6903, so the DC setting on the SR1 doesn't matter.

Thanks for sharing your greater experience and knowledge.

Cheers,
David
