Eutelsat 10B launch
SpaceX is targeting Monday, November 21 for launch of the Eutelsat 10B mission to a geosynchronous transfer orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Liftoff is targeted for 9:57 p.m. ET (02:57 UTC on November 22). A backup launch opportunity is available on Tuesday, November 22 at the same time. The Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting this mission previously launched Telstar 18 VANTAGE, Iridium-8, and eight Starlink missions. A live webcast of this mission will begin about 15 minutes prior to liftoff.

Hello Thorsten,
Thanks for the update.
Fingers crossed for a successful launch and transfer as this is 'part of the plan' for MTG dissemination next year.
If successful, it will be ready and 'waiting for data.'
Hopefully soon, Eutelsat will publish E 10-B's power output contours.
Regards,
John.

At that time, I'll hopefully be in my REM sleep phase. Since SpaceEx publishes all of their evaporations on YT, we'll probably have a chance to look for it tomorrow. Cheers, U. |

Charlie
Official outlook from US Space Force has a 20% chance of favourable weather for tonight's launch window, after the previous yesterday being scrubbed for "additional pre-flight checkouts"... oops!

Unlike the Cargo Dragon flight last night the weather opened and it flew! Eutelsat 10B placed successfully into geostationary transfer orbit - now for the long old process of circularising that orbit with an ion thruster...

Charlie,
Good news.
And if it achieved the 'higher' (than usual) transfer orbit, 'geostationary' should be easier and quicker.
