The rectification point at 45.5 degrees is correct, and the program uses that value (+/- 0.5 degrees) to change the "msg" in the saved image file name to "iodn". The previous program changed "msg" to "iodc", so if that worked before the update it should continue to work after the update, with "iodc" becoming "iodn". I've had no other reports of this issue. I have no idea what's happening! Cheers, David -- SatSignal Software - Quality software for you Web: https://www.satsignal.eu Email: david-taylor@... Twitter: @gm8arv |

I don't know why, but on the Logs tab, the prolog header shows the rectification longitude, and that should look like the attached i.e. 45.5 degrees. Does it say "from prolog" at the top? My versions as follows: MDM V3.1.21.1337 GSS V8.2.6.1187 Images still coming through as .... _MSG2_IODC Something wrong there! On the receiver PC I'm pointing to E1B-GEO-1 'IODC High Rate SEVIRI' Doc.No. : EUM/OPS-MSG/DOC/22/1284775 does not really clarify matters for me. So still a bit stuck on this one. I will go overlay hunting later. Immediate problem with IODC, I looked at this again and have noticed that (using whole hemisphere image in False Colour) all the longitudes are about 40 degrees out. Horn of Africa is at 5 degrees east and Bay of Bengal at 45 degrees (Dutch coast and Aden - as was). I'm trying to think where I might have gone wrong with settings. Robert -----Original Message-----

Thanks David,Thanks, Robert. I can take a look at that later tomorrow. Likely the original code was purely for monochrome images, so some work may be required to handle colour. In particular I see that the background is not pure white, so a simple chart/background cannot be used. A_24hr500.gif at https://ocean.weather.gov/shtml/A_24hr500.gif I'm sure when I last tried to overlay one of these charts it didn't have the coloured numbers etc but just black and white contours. But the naming is the same. The above chart would be OK, nevertheless. Robert -----Original Message-----

One overlay that has eluded me is the 500mb chart on WV images in GSS. Anyone had any luck with this?
