UK to leave Copernicius Programme?

There is a report in New Scientist that is potentially very depressing
news for the future of our hobby and possibly access to Eumetcast:- https://www.newscientist.com/article/2324165-uk-may-go-it-alone-in-orbit-after-brexit-shutout-from-eu-space-plans/ |

EUMETSAT is not governed by EU. It is an international organisation. Even the current DG is from UK. So no worries. The Copernicus data will still be free. It is the industry that will not get financed, for the users there will be no difference. From: MSG-1@groups.io <MSG-1@groups.io> on behalf of JW. Hi,
Thanks for the link.
As has been said, this should not effect the data carried by EUMETCast.
And, the UK is still a member of EUMETSAT.
However, dare I say members(?) now that we are post Covid(?) this is just one of the many European scientific collaborations we had as a member of the EU that we may see ending as a result of Brexit.
Progress?
