a huge thanks to Ernst Lobsiger who allowed with his work to experiment python on Eumetcast on win10, I tried many times on linux but the thing is too complicated for me. After a little more than a month of tests, configurations and errors on errors, I am satisfied with the result achieved, but one thing I want to say to those who are still in the study phase, I do not know anything about programming, many times I did the small hours, I abandoned and resumed early the following morning, the secret is to try again and again to see what changes. nice to see you finally managed to image Bella Italia with PyTROLL/Satpy. At a first glance it seems to me that your images are a little bit too flat.
You can just increase the number of pixels behind "height:  ..." in your italy area definition in file areas.yaml until you are even more satified :-).

To be mathematically exact, the aspect ratio of the image must exactly match the aspect ratio of your area_extent:

The number of width divided by the number of height should be the same as                   (these 2 numbers are in pixels)
(upper_right_x  -  lower_left_x)   divided by   (upper_right_y  -  lower_left_y)                    (these 2 numbers are in meters)

And YES: Exactly the same means not just one digit behind the decimal point. And minus minus is plus ...

No, although I did some years ago.
It wasn't automated enough for my purposes.
