Hi Hugo

Thanks for your reply.

Guess I'm ready to go.
Lets see how the Edimax USB-adapter will handle BS, HVS1 and HVS2 (SR1 1 and SR1 2 will be connected to the same VLAN).

Kind Regards
Mads

Hi Mads,

There is no problem using a passive splitter with two SR1 's. The polarisation of the LNB is chosen with the voltage for the power of the LNB. 13 V for vertical - and 19 V for the horizontal polarisation. So you can't receive transponders with different polarisation on each SR1. Each SR1 will always be horizontal polarized.( 19 V ). But because the polarisation is the same for the two transponders , there is no problem.
Hope this helps.

First SR1 is running fine, empty connecter is waiting for my second SR1.

Will it work? Can I destroy anything using that splitter? I mean two receivers trying to control one LNB and two receivers sending power to the LNB. LNB with dual output is not an option.

Bought that splitter after reading this: https://www.eumetsat.int/website/home/TechnicalBulletins/EUMETCast/DAT_3340783.html https://www.eumetsat.int/website/home/TechnicalBulletins/EUMETCast/DAT_3340783.html https://www.eumetsat.int/website/home/TechnicalBulletins/EUMETCast/DAT_3340783.html https://www.eumetsat.int/website/home/TechnicalBulletins/EUMETCast/DAT_3340783.html https://www.eumetsat.int/website/home/TechnicalBulletins/EUMETCast/DAT_3340783.html https://www.eumetsat.int/website/home/TechnicalBulletins/EUMETCast/DAT_3340783.html https://www.eumetsat.int/website/home/TechnicalBulletins/EUMETCast/DAT_3340783.html https://www.eumetsat.int/website/home/TechnicalBulletins/EUMETCast/DAT_3340783.html

Bonsoir Gerard,

I start tellicast with the computer start-up. When I am satisfied
that what is running is what I want, I start TBS IPTool, which always
remembers the previous settings, and then the two copies of MSGDM and
then Metop Manager and AVHRR Mgr, and MSGAnimator if I am running it on
that computer. This seems tedious, but I run the machine 24/7 so only
have to do it once a month or so, and it gives me a chance to check the
settings.

========================================

Bonsoir Gérard,

I suggest two possibilities for launching Tellicast after TBS-IPdata tool.

1. Write a script for launching and place it in the autostart folder.
You can use a timeout command to wait some seconds after launching TBS-IPdata tool
(timeout /T 5). Then start Tellicast.

2. Start TBS-IPdata tool within the autostart folder. Start Tellicast with the Task Scheduler at startup with some delay.

Cheers,
Thorsten

If you log in first via a web browser to the EO Portal ( or coda.eumetsat.int ) and give your credentials in EUMETCastView you can still download the OLCI/SLSTR segments via EUMETCastView. I will look for a better solution.

Hi All,

the reason for this mess is, that you can not log in on coda.eumetsat.int. You are redirected to eoportal.eumetsat.int instead. From a technical point of view this is a really bad solution. To mirror all login credentials from EO Portal to CODA would be a better solution. I am wondering why Eumetsat made things so complicated?

Could you not put a short-cut in the Startup directory? I do something similar with the BDADataEx program, although I run that (with other software) from a command script scheduled to run at login.

The latest dissemination of the TelliCast Client 2.14.2 that I see here in Info-Channel-1 dates from today August 28th 05:31 UTC. If you do not get it you may have to ask OPS to put you on the reception list.
