Hello,
I still do not get E1H-TPG-1 and E1H-TPG-2 data.
Under General Parameters , name E1H-TPG-1 I have          E1H-TPG-2 has
state ---connecting in red                                                         connecting in red 
address ---- 224.223.223.3:7013                                             224.223.223.3:7015
priority --     500                                                                        500
bandwidth -9000000                                                                 8000000
received bytes - 0                                                                     0
packet NAKs -   allowed but disabled                                       allowed but disabled
Are the values shown here correct ?
What to do about packet NAKs allowed but disabled ??
May I stress that despite very cloudy skies I have a SNR of 11.4-11.5 and I do receive Goes 17 TPG-3 data !

Eumetcast Multicast addresses and PID numbers - rectification

The eumetsat int website reception station setup channel and pids shows multicast addresses and pids different from those
I have stored.
Is there a possibility to replace those "false" addresses and pids ?
If so how to do it, please ?

Yes, James, English can be a strange language at times, even to native speakers!  Changing the driver is easy, so feel free to experiment.  The only slight snag is that sometimes the crash an take some hours to occur, leading to a false sense of: "Oh, that fixed it, then!".  The issue seems to be an interaction between the drivers and the TBS IP Tool, so whereas TBS provided updated drivers (including different buffer sizes for HVS-1 and HVS-2), perhaps they should have looked at their IP Tool instead.

Whatever, I suggest very careful monitoring of the logs and MRTG graphs from TelliCast, especially if you're going for HVS-2.

Do you have a recollection or note of which was CrazyCat's driver file or zip file? I have quite a few in a folder marked TBS but can't quite recollect which one was CC's.

If you can get GOES-17 you should be able to get GOES-16 as well. Check
your channels file.

GOES-16 data is every 10 minutes, and GOES-17 every 30 minutes, by the way.

Roland, many of us have been affected by the rain – I’ve had BAS alright today but HVS very broken up. Have you had much rain – I’ve had it all day in North Wales (and now!)

I would install the drivers for the card first, then connect the card.  I note that EUMETSAT suggest the other way round, but this may result in more recent incompatible drivers being installed.  Remember that there will be a separate power lead as well.  I'm currently using the 1.0.0.5 driver dated 2017/01/10.  This stopped the regular stream of HVS-2 missed & recovered packets (which you can still see on some other stations):

I used to have to edit out the large bursts due to wind & rain so that this steady stream wasn't hidden.  I've not done that since mid-February,

I don't know if others are having the same experience, but there has been almost continuous heavy rain in North Wales today and all my HVS-1 imagery is very broken. BAS is fine. Suspect my reception for HVS is marginal and rain just attenuates the signal further without completely killing it.

As I've mentioned before, often my Web pages are simply my own notes, with passwords removed!  What I didn't mention, but now recall, is that sometimes the SNMP community isn't defined (OK, that's another security point), and that stops SNMP working.  I've added that to my notes and added a screenshot:

The programs which need to be re-installed over updates are just the major version updates, which are effectively new installs. Not the monthly updates.

Whilst CFGmaker is a useful starter, I do recommend using the IP address of the PC (if it's fixed by address reservation in the router) rather than the interface number which CFGmaker uses. With major upgrades and other changes the interface number can, and does, change.  A pain, I know!

If anyone in Europe would like to help with EUMETCast monitoring - you would be very welcome:

Success!! Thank you David - the initial cfg file is as one might expect very long! It reports 41 interfaces but I will need to do some serious editing! I will also need to sift through more of your guidance pages David!
