Today I have installed the GSS 6.0.0.691 And following the MSG-1_settings text file enclosed in the GSS Installation I can read several times in the settings: Show country boundaries: Checked. There is test data being sent to a limited number of test stations at the moment. Huge amounts of data will be available although the majority of amateurs will probably only be interested in certain data. Whole world AVHRR will be available....yes that is whole world ! We can expect another 15-20 channels. Even the limited test data at the moment is well in excess of 1� GB per hour. For the few poeple having the METOP test DVD set: Try the big 960Mb EPS file. - AVHRR NOAA: Translation to RAH format will now automatically add the Kepler elements. (Uses the 3 line per element file noaa.txt.) - AVHRR mode makes xrit2pic blind for everything except AVHRR data. In this way xrit2pic is usable in parallel with MSG Data Manager. - Archiving in year/month/day directory structure. Rob Alblas.
