Signal Drop
Further to the reported signal drop on 7/11/2018, I am now seeing a further small drop today in clear conditions.
Fortunately unlike some my signal drop on 7/11/2018 was small and this further drop

OK looks like I am confused (common occurrence these days ...)
I do have a dvb1_0 - which I thought was hvs-1 (& dvb1_1 was hvs-2)
I do have traffic on dvb1_0

You probably have a
[channel]
name=*
target_directory=data/eumetcast/bas/default
tmp_directory=data/tmp/bas
at the end of your ini file. This puts everything not distributed yet into
directory

I believed that when putting the # sign before a group in this file, then that data would be ignored.
But on my system all unwanted files are being dumped in "default".

You should see HVS-2 traffic with:
# dvbtraffic -a1
or
# ifconfig dvb1_0
Are all 3 instances of the TC client running?
In /etc/tellicast-client.cfg you must

If I get that right you have set "options stv6120 rfsource=1"
in the stv6120.conf file and now receive Basic + HVS-1 + HVS-2?
You should have a dvb1_0 which corresponds to HVS-2 PID

Just a report back to say " all is working as intended" except I've no
dvb1_1

stv6120 is loaded as is stv9010, however in /var/log/messages it

I hesitate to jump in on this thread, as I'm not a network expert, by any means, but I do remember when setting up my SR1, that David advised that the SR1 management should be on

As promised the log summary of BAS, HVS-1 and HVS-2 for date 2018-11-10 ( from 8:00 to 24:00 UTC).
I do have a missed file for hvs-2 but I do not know if this was weather related or not. The

All 3 dials are working as they should be.
I think after all ive been through this evening that the problem is that telnet is trying to use a port that is being used already by another

It may be but does the SR1 console show that - if it is showing Not Locked then the ip address is wrong
What does it show
