I've often started tqrecv before the Technisat software has started. It
sorts itself out. This is W2000 SP2.

off/on. I don't usually run my computer 24 hours, although I would
prefer to, so I have set it up so that when my wife arises at 6am,
she simply presses the on switch and everything happens

Right from the start, if I had problems with the Tellique part of the chain,
I found that I had to shut down the PC, wait 15 seconds or so, and then
restart if I wanted the Tqrecv client icon to

To restate the obvious, if this problem affects you:
- Do a proper software shutdown first.
- Then power off at the mains

Robert - it *may* not (just) be a case of letting the hardware cool, but also a case of ensuring everything is switched off and letting all the supplies discharge down to zero so that everything

Whoops - I used the word 'cold' loosely. I simply meant that I turned the power
off and left the PC for ten minutes. My card has never run at anything other
than very slightly warm. Thanks for this

trick! I let the PC go cold.
That _maybe_ suggests you need more cooling for the card, or simply
that it doesn't recover properly from lack of signal.

Yes earlier today - but I did it again tonight and it has done the trick! I let
the PC go cold.
- are there any uncorrected blocks being shown on Transponder

quality is back to 70%.

My dish has now been re-aligned (free of charge) and my signal quality is back
to 70%. But still lots of missing segments. Rx PC does not need defragmenting.

number of missed segments and my Signal Quality remains down in the low 30s.
