No Pete, so have I. Eumetsat do appear to have been having a lot of problems overnight and early morning. I don't run overnight, but saw the messages.

I have just lost Telecast on both systems at 0845 GMT although I am

Indeed Ulrich, a RAMdisk is much faster than disk.
As a direct result datatransfer does require less CPU time.
Tellicast takes less than 5% CPU on my P3@1GHz.
So the rest is availabe for decoding the
