2GB ram should be more than enough to receive and decode all data on a
single PC.
Currently I still run receive and decode on a 1 Ghz P3 with only 512
Mb ram. 25 Mb is used for Ramdisk

I know about limited life, and really CF is only a temporary,
experimental, solution; I think to use a microdrive that should be more
effective even slower than a traditional HD.

Mario there's nothing wrong with your image. There isn't any MSG-1 imagery to be cut out of the top left corner - the Bracknell chart wraps over the satellite horizon at this point. So we all have the

I tried the Bracknel overlay option in Geosatsignal and I have the problem, that the upper-left part of the image (northern canada/greenland)) only shows the overlay, but the MSG image is cut.

not the prefered version (currently 4.40 ?)
Eumetsat recommends driver version 4.30, newer versions have not been
