Re: HVS Service
Mike my guess is that it will only be simulated test data on a loop I think
similar to what they have been sending for a while ( I don't take the HVS )
as the satellite is not even launched yet.

Re: Joining Eumetcast - asking for hardware recommendations
Well Done!
Now you just need a Timestamp.
I use
import PIL Image, ImageDraw, ImageFont
and draw the Timestamp in black and white slightly offset, so it shows on dark and light

Rob,
i just had a look on the new version! Great you updated to 3-hourly data.
I will give the cascade a try....but I then have to relinquish in MDM
that it arrange the decoded pictures in folders.

I copied to usr/bin. I just recompiled and placed it in my home directory-but no change. I can invoke xRITDecompress <filename> and it decompresses all well. So it's working.

Re: Joining Eumetcast - asking for hardware recommendations
Christian,
I don't know what you exactly want to do with the combination MDM/xrit2pic.
As far as I know MDM can move the raw (unprocessed) files to 'a' directory, from where xrit2pic can take it over.

Re: Joining Eumetcast - asking for hardware recommendations
Christian, where is your xRITDecompress file?
I presume you did build it for 32bit as per the README.txt file in the unzipped folder?

That should be possible; put MDM and xrit2pic in cascade. (Never point the 2 to the same received dirctory.)
