Thanks, Ian. Looking at their Web site it seemed that 7.0 beta was on offer, but that may have just been their enthusiasm for the newer version. Actually, even version 2.x works with Windows-7.

What you might want to do is to have System Restore running on your system disk, but not on your data disk(s). That gives you some chance of recovery if you don't routinely run disk imaging.

David,
I mentioned in a mail a few weeks ago that a completely new mstdefrag version is to be released sometime in the future. However it is not yet available and the download version is still 3.6

after some deep thinking... :)
Nope, not really.

Well, about 30% free, pretty stable.
Nope, no signs of that, no read-write-problems that normally signify that.
What I cannot exclude is fragmentation, but defragging a 250 G disk is
questionable

Is the disk too full? need to keep it less than 75% even better 50%.
Is the Hard Drive dying?
Keep Tellicast on a seperate drive to processing programs.

Try this simple program to see what's eating up CPU & Disk time.
May give you some clues.

Judging by your graphs, Ulrich, it seems you may have made an adjustment around 13:00 UTC.
Missed packets are usually caused by too high a load on your system, in particular:
- network IO
- CPU

Ooops, not that easily feasible. So, no www.
I'll readjust the dish today (hopefully). Should help with the missed packets.
