TechniSat SkyStar 2 PCI card and USB box software upgrade.

johnrigsec@...

All,

The software for the TechniSat SkyStar 2 PCI card and USB Box has been
updated
to V. 4.2.8.
There appears (to my eyes) to be several improvements and added facilities.

You can obtain more information from <A HREF="http://www.t-data.lu/">www.t-data.lu</A> where I believe the update
is
available.

Regards,
John Tellick.

Image 0030 (ch01 to 03 and HRV) showed a severe sun glimpse again.
Interesting to see how a solair eqlips is seen by MSG-1, hope that
it
won't damage the delicate SEVERI instrument !
Same here, Arne. I can't believe they would risk damage.

Did you notice the strange effects on the midnight images, where the
top 200 lines or so were misplaced, as if the scan position sensor
was being misled by solar radiation? They didn't show on the 0015
images, so weren't on the LRIT data. Quite noticeable effects on
the 0045 images, though, both visible and thermal channels, and both
HRIT and LRIT data.

Cheers,
David

Today Sept. 02, from slot 0800 onwards we have Eastern Europe back on
HRV !

Unfortunaley we had to trade in the western part of Africa now.

Makes one think Eumetsat has subscribed to a "Lite" ADSL line to T-
systems and have to watch their upload quota !

group?

To access the Files and Photos areas, please make sure you are
registered with Yahoo!. (If you have a Yahoo! ID, you are already
registered.) Secondly, make sure that you have web memberships for
your group (as opposed to just belonging to a group email list.)"

Thanks, Douglas - I wasn't aware of this as I already have a Yahoo
ID.

"not authorized to view
this page"

I get this too, after being asked to put in my password, that was
accepted,
a list of images OK, but then not allowed to view. My Yahoo status is
good
as I moderate several groups and have only one identity !

Dave

There have been some changes to the way Yahoo work. Once you sign in
you will see the relevant link.
I have pasted below the part of the explanation (not pasted too well but
readable) that seems to apply.
I expect the problems people are having is centred round this although I
have not studied the full script.
I have posted to all groups as this is a problem throughout. My apologies
to those who are in all groups for duplication.

Regards
Douglas.

When I first tried last night I received an error which was saying
that the download quota for the Yahoo group had been exceeded, but I
just tried it again right now and both images worked fine.

Aggh - can't believe I posted with such atrocious spelling, especially in

Not receiving Data Channels

Roger Mawhinney <roger@...>

Don't know what I've done, but I reinstalled my Technisat DVB card with
Tellique's dirvers and software. I am receiving data for the annoucement
channel OK and I get connection messages for EUMETSAY Data Chaneel 2 &3 (via
HTML Shell). However, I'm not receiving any data. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Thanks to all who responded with suggestions. The network address was OK but
a cold reboot did the trick. This is the second time this has happened -
hopefully I'll remember next time!

The 1.0.0.9 version of the Animator is working fine - many thanks.

Best regards - Alan

Thanks for any advice.
Check the IP address of the network card. A second reboot (power
off as well) may help.

Cheers,
David
