Re: Configuration File

Apologize David,
now i am confused.
If I understood I need to connect both the ports on the SR1:

The Management Pot connected to one port of the router
And the Traffic port connected to the added Network card

Is that correct?

Reading the guide how you said at section 9.2.1.1 I read:

One of the reception host NICs is set to a static IP: 192.168.10.103
Do I need to set this IP somewhere?
And finally I read:

Into recv.ini: interface_address=192.168.10.103

Where to set this IP as we do not have any more the recv.ini file?
Do I have to set it in both
cast-client_bas.ini and
cast-client_hvs-1.ini

Again thanks a lot for your understanding and patience

Enzo,

I am confused, you are telling me different things from before.

If you want to use both BAS and HVS-1 you need a separate network card
plugged into your PC, and connect that to the Traffic port on the SR1. Use
the configuration shown in section 9.2.1.1 of the EUMETSAT Guide.

Use the main network card on your PC connected to the router, and connect
the Management port on the SR1 to your router as well. The router I call the
"House network".

No, Enzo.  I said that I did not recommend sending the EUMETCast data over the management port, but unless you have a second network interface on your PC you have no other choice.

You will need to know the IP address of your house network (192.168.n.m) to set an appropriate address for your management port.  Ask your network administrator.

That file is for the newer, blue light, eToken. I don't know whether it works with the earlier red-LED eToken.

Try booting into safe mode:

This is not a configuration I recommend, but in that case you want the file:

 CONNECTED
i.e. you want the data to be connected to the the management port.

 HVS_ENA
i.e. you want the HVS ENAbled.

You will need to set the management port IP address to something suitable for your network, likely you already know what this is.

If you have two Ethernet leads to your SR1:

I don't recommend sending the data over the management port as it may

Marco,

You could use the HRPT Reader to process an image from the .hpt files saved by
the Metop Manager you have using the Metop-B instance.  See attached as an
example - you can play with the false-colours in the HRPT Reader, and use
Ground Map to alter projections.

The Pytroll/Satpy approach will work for MTG as well.

but clicking on it, it does not work.
I have stored in my backup Hard Disk, a folder called:
SR1CFG_DVBS2_ACTIVE_only-updates-DVBS2-radio-cfg_allversions
and in it there are 3 files:
README.txt
SR1CFG.cfg
SR1CFG.exe
They all have as date 2013 and do not know if they are still OK are they have been released new versions.
Finally you've suggested me to have a look at the EO portal to see if I am enable also for the HVS-1 reception.
I have been there and I clicked on EUMETCAST SATELLITE EUROPE - KU-BAND and got a very Long list
named SERVICE NAME and did not mentioned here to do not weigh down the mail.
I had a look in the list but cannot find anything that says about HVS-1.
Please can you tell me what should I have to look for to see if I can receive it?
Thanks in advance for your helps

Enzo,

If the link is bad, please report it to Ops. Ask for the updated config files too.

I cannot help further today. I suggest ensuring that the SR1 is up-to-date and then ask again.
