Likely means that you have an instance of the TelliCast software already running. Kill one instance with the Task Manager.

Hugo,

as you know my OOP knowledge is close to zero and I mostly work with mc and the command line.
SatPy is lacking a reader for FY-2G/H that we receive in Basic Service EUMETSAT_Data_Channel_12.

You have written a FY-2G/H C++ reader in your program EUMETCastView for these satellites.
How about contributing a Python reader for these satellites to Pytroll/Satpy using PyCharm?

TBH I have no idea what this means in hours of programming and testing. Relevant links are:

Roland,

The port 2517 is deprecated. EUMETSAT port numbers used for the TC clients WEB interfaces are now:

BASIC Service  8100
HVS-1 Service  8200
HVS-2 Service  8201

You can try on the receiver PC http://localhost:8100  or http://localhost:8200
If your receiver PC is on a LAN and you know its IP address you should be able to acces from other PCs with
http://IP-OF-YOUR-RECEIVER:8100 or http://IP-OF-YOUR-RECEIVER:8200      (IP-OF-YOUR-RECEIVER something like 192.168.1.20)

Dear EUMETCast-Europe User,

Further to our email below, please be informed that the EUMETCast Europe back-up transponder changed from E21B to HB13 on 1 February 2021, as planned.

Please find attached the latest version of TD 15 which has been updated with the new official backup satellite parameters for HB13.

The EUMETCast web page has been updated accordingly (EUMETCast | EUMETSAT Website), as well as the EUMETCast Knowledge Base (EUMETCast - EUMETSAT Public Confluence (atlassian.net)).

As mentioned previously, we plan to perform a test activation of the EUMETCast Europe service on HB13 – exact dates and further details will be provided in due course.

Best regards,

EUMETSAT User Service

Subject: Migration of EUMETCast Europe restoration capacity to Hotbird 13

Dear EUMETCast-Europe User,

EUMETSAT operates EUMETCast Europe in Ku-band via EUTELSAT 10A (E10A). In case of an unrecoverable failure of E10A, the EUMETCast Europe Service will currently be continued on EUTELSAT 21B (E21B) in the 21° East orbital position.

As already announced via our Weekly Operations Schedule, starting from 01/02/2021, the EUMETCast Europe restoration (back-up) capacity will be migrated from E21B to Hotbird 13 (HB13) in the 13° East orbital position. This means that from 01/02/2021, in case of an unrecoverable failure of E10A, the EUMETCast Europe Service will be continued on HB13.

A test activation of the EUMETCast Europe service on the foreseen HB13 transponders is planned in Q1 2021. During the test, the same data streams will be available on both satellites (E10A and HB13). Further details will be provided in due course.

For technical details on Hotbird 13 transponders and downlink parameters, see our web news: Migration of EUMETCast Europe restoration capacity to Hotbird 13 | EUMETSAT Website

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Re: Eumetcastview Europe projection

Hugo

Hi Daniele,

I am not aware of a 'Europe projection' in EUMETCastView, but you can make for example a 'Lambert Conformal projection' of Europe  :)
The projection canvas size is independent of the image resolution, so you can take any canvas size you want. The program uses bilinear interpolation for smoothing out the projection image.

Kind regards,
Hugo
