Re: Statistics for HVS2 service availabe

Hi David

No its not online any more. 2 years ago we had the major renovation of the roof and at the same time a total network-reconfiguration (new provider) and the two thing combined did it for the weather station and at that time also the EUMETCast reception system. I've only had the time to re-establish the EUMETCast reception station. The weather station will never be re-established.

Regards
Mads

Great David. It also makes it much easier for me to compare with other stations when I have abnormal reception.

Mads,

Delighted to be of help!

Is your weather station also on line? I had the URL as:

http://vejrstation.rungsted-gym.dk/

Thanks,

And more information from a station (BS, HVS1 & HVS2) in Denmark, if you would like to compare with a station at that location: http://mb.rungsted-gym.dk/mrtg/html/sat_stats.htm
Only link margin from my station is displayed on David's site.

Thanks, Mads. I've updated the URLs and restored the pages.
They should be OK by 07:50 UTC.

Many thanks, Mads.
I'll add (or it restore) the data soon - as it's an F1/F2/F3 weekend time will be at a premium!

Ian,

Yes.
I've just come in from gardening for a mug of coffee and seen my SNR up by around (?) 0.5 dB - not having looked earlier.
This is reflected in David's 'euro reception logging' graphs and seen by many users in Europe this morning.

Fingers crossed?

Regards,
John.

Looks like Eumetsat have switched over to their back up station again,
giving a nice jump in the signal level. Some will have seen a small
number of missed or missed/recovered packets.

Ian

Hello,
My malwarebytes virus scanner has been showing this indication-warning for the past few days.
It then switches off the software.
This is very annoying and has never before happened.
Both programmes are under C:/tools/Satsignal/
I have windows 10.
How to solve this programme ?
Thanks in advance for your advice !
Regards,
Roland

Roland,

Most likely this is a false positive. You can check the individual programs at:

http://virusscan.jotti.org/

and

http://www.virustotal.com/

Ian has already suggested added these as exceptions. I don't see the issue here with the Microsoft Windows Defender.

Cheers,
David

Roland I had a similar problem as yours some time ago where my Internet security program was continually removing the exe file from my main MSG Data Manager, ( I was running three but only one affected )

The easy way to resolve the issue is to make both MSG Data Manager and Animator an exception in your virus program and this will stop them being scanned.

Regards
Ian.

Betreff: [MSG-1] Ayecka SR1 for sale

Morning all,

I have for various personal reasons discontinued taking EUMETCast. I have a few items I would like to pass on.

Used Ayecka SR1. Bought direct from Aahron Fuchs of Space Band at the
2014 Symposium. In use every day since. Uprated power supply. Two Ethernet cables and one USB cable.

To go with it I have an Inverto Black Ultra Twin LNB (unused and still in box) and a Netgear 8 port Gigabit switch(with power supply).

£50 for the lot including postage.

Cheers

Alan

Re: SR1 again. Brief instances of negative Traffic being shown on Traffic dial.

Graham, Douglas, David and Ernst,

Thanks for you notifications and information.

'Good' to know that I'm not the only user to have seen this.
I can be so brief and infrequent(?) an event, that many might not have noticed it.
I just happen to see it as I can see the SR1 controller dials whilst working on another computer.

Thanks again,
John.

What I cited  fits exactly to Davids explanation. With increased traffic you have now more frequent overflows.
I had similar things under GNU/Linux when I updated my rrd from ifconfig with 4 Byte counters back in 2014.
