A reminder about Eumetcast maintenance.
Already a long loss of data flow this morning.

Regards,
Douglas.
===================================

Thanks, Douglas. I'd missed that announcement in the many others repeated week after week in the new format. I've already commented on the lack of an "changed" or "updated" flag when the weekly news is repeated one day later. I do wish we had the old system back - I can't even filter on the message title with this new scheme.

Cheers,
David

Hello,
There is an activity on HVS?
It seems to me to receive data since a few days,
I recois data known HVS-ch1, HVS-ch2 and HVS-ch3
0.fsy and 1.fsy are present
How can we control it?
Thank you
Roland

===========================================

Roland those test files have been sent since last year. They are blank with
no data.
It is unlikely that the HVS service will start before 2016 as the first data
is likely to be from Sentinel 3A whose launch is shown as no earlier than
December 10th.
If you want to receive the blank files there is some useful info here :-

http://www.eumetsat.int/website/home/TechnicalBulletins/EUMETCast/DAT_2082113.html

I am not taking the service.

Regards,
Douglas.

all works quite well now for a few hours. T finally remains pink.
I only disable Avast! Firewall Driver and and LLDP protocol on the LAN card to let only TCP/IPv4 active.
Many thanks to David and all.

Many thanks for your answer. and many thanks for your words about my health which is quite good again now.

I looked at your Win-10-notes and did not find any trouble here.
I added a special route to the interface adresse in T-System but I quickly deleted it because the T was red right from the start.
Now T is pink at start but red again after about 5/10 minutes.
I don't understand what happened because it was working quite well previously.

I continue with my investigations !

With best regards from France.

Very nice picture Douglas !

I am for the moment experimenting with bilinear and bicubic interpolation for the scaling of the images. This should be much better than the rather naive algorithm I currently use for the 'smoothing' of the VIIRS images.

Kind regards,

Thanks Hugo. It has only been possible thanks to your software (and of course David's).
New scaling tools sound most interesting.

Enzo,

If you have used the EUMETSAT configuration file, or bought your receiver
from GEO, the PIDs should be correct. If you are uncertain about how to
check them I would not suggest attempting to alter them at all. If you need
to check, please see the EUMETSAT guide or get someone to log into your
system remotely using the TeamViewer software.

Bonsoir à tous,

I did not use my Eumetcast system for a few months (Health problem + holydays).
Same antenna, same PC and SR1, and no change in recv.ini nor recv-channel.ini
When running tc-recv all seems to be correct and T is pink but after a while (5/6 minutes) T becomes red.
When I exit tc-recv and run it again T is and stays yellow.
A look at SR1 console or Telnet tells me that data is normally coming in.
Software version of SR1 is 1.05b243 and Firmware is 2.02b922. Hardware version is 2.00
The only change was upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and deinstall then reinstall Silicon Labs CP210x
Welcome to any idea !

Many thanks and regards.

Gerard,

Sorry to hear about the health problems. I trust that things are getting better now.

I only found minor issues after the Win-10 upgrade, and documented them here:

http://www.satsignal.eu/software/Win-10-notes.html

Your issue /sounds/ like on we had where there was no route table set, and the icon would go red when there was both a connection to the Ayecka box and a connection to the LAN/WAN. It might be worth checking. My pre-SR1 notes on this are here:

i set it as 192.168.10.150 which is the same i have set on the Network card

Enzo,

Please see section 4.5 of the EUMETSAT guide (version v3B).

The Management IP Address is what you should set the SR1 console to, not the same as your network card.

As I said before, as you are unsure about these issues, I strongly suggest you get online help from an expert.
