Re: Chlorophyll data

David I certainly see that structure for DEVCOCAST-1 and Americas Channel 1, but the CMA data on Channel 11 does not need a sub-directory. My entry in recv-channels.ini simply shows " target_directory=received "
The other channels listed I do not receive or are not yet available. Re: Chlorophyll data
To let MDM handle this data I have received files under:Arne, All you need is to have the files in a sub-directory "Data Channel 8" of the path specified as the TelliCast received files location. So if that is specified in the MSG Data Manager as the full path to: received\MSG\ then the program will look in the full path to: received\MSG\Data Channel 8 for the chlorophyll data. Folders which are treated in the same way include: for MODIS Winds: Data Channel 4 for Devcocast1: DEVCOCAST-1 for DataChan8Files: Data Channel 8 for DataChan10Files: Data Channel 10 for DataChan11Files: Data Channel 11 for DataChan12Files: Data Channel 12 for AmericasChannel1Files: Americas-CH1 Sub-directories which are also scanned, irrespective of any user selection: BMD-RA-VI DWDSAT 73, David -- SatSignal software - quality software written to your requirements Web: www.satsignal.eu Email: davidtaylor@writeme.com

Hello David ,Do you have lines in your recv-channels.ini like: [EUMETSAT Data Channel 8] target_directory=received\Data Channel 8 The version of the MSG Data Manager you are using is rather old, please update to V2.5.34 - it's free: http://www.satsignal.eu/software/msg_dm.htm#bundle Cheers, David -- SatSignal software - quality software written to your requirements Web: www.satsignal.eu Email: davidtaylor@writeme.com

Chlorophyll data
Hans-Joachim Empel
Chlorophyll data on [EUMETSAT Data Channel 8], from MODIS IIRC.
Handled by the MSG Data Manager if you ask it to manage channel-8 data. If you don't need channel-8 data, you should configure your recv-channels.ini not to receive it. Hello David , i acivate the MSG Data Manager Ver.2.5.25.900 to handle the datas from the received folder. But the datas are still in the received folder in. What i am doing wrong ???? Regards Joachim

http://www.satsignal.eu/mrtg/Eumetcast.html Hi David,Definitely a Welsh expression! I can think of hotch-potch, which then brings Lancashire Hot-Pot to mind! I hope the page is now fixed - I had noticed Porthcawl being mis-spelt only earlier today. to you:Hi David, Just to say I think that first page above may need a little updating - I appear on the second, but not on the first - not to worry if it is a bit of a potch! (Welsh expression I think!) Cheers James -- James Brown

Hi all,[] [David, the card is now a 2.8a should you wish to update your 'round Europe'Nick, Thanks for that - I've updated the two pages which refer to you: http://www.satsignal.eu/mrtg/Eumetcast.html http://www.satsignal.eu/mrtg/EumetcastEurope.html If there's anything I've missed or which needs correction, please let me know. By the way: it would be nice if your MRTG graphs were 500 pixels wide like everyone else's. I expect that got missed in the changeover. Near the start of your MRTG config file, add: ____________________________________________ # Default values XSize[_]: 500 Timezone[_]: GMT ____________________________________________ Glad to hear that my software works with Virtual Box - that means it can run on Linux or the Mac, I believe. Change of MSG system to linux
Nick Norman <nick@...>
Hi all,
Just a short note to say that my webpage showing the status of my receiving system has changed - well not its location but its content (still at <http://www.dctower.co.uk/msg>). Currently an AMDx2 processor with 1Gb memory (must do something about that!), running Fedora 12 and virtualbox to get David's software running as there were memory issues under wine. I have the feeling the HDD is about to depart this life - also on the to do list! Some missed segments, but as I've not got a ram disk set-up yet (not enough ram to go round!) not bad. Season's greetings .... and by the way ....
Folks,
May I just wish you all Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a prosperous and healthy 2010. Whatever you would wish yourself. My thanks to you all for your support throughout the year. I can see some good things coming early next year as well. Remember the UK tax rises on the first of January, so get your orders in this year to beat the tax rise! Of course, there has to be a snag, doesn't there? My ISP's e-mail is down right now, so for anything urgent please use: satsignal@gmail.com Cheers, David -- SatSignal software - quality software written to your requirements Web: www.satsignal.eu Email: davidtaylor@writeme.com

FY2E
Ian Deans
I see the missing FY2E image data from this morning ( first data was time stamped 12.00 ) is now being sent, but is correctly being "skipped - data is older than current data " by Data Manager.

Re: yellow T
Good morning to the Group !Roland, That sounds like you are trying to start TelliCast when it is already running, and hence the port 2517 is already in use. Check that you only have one startup for TelliCast - perhaps using sysinternals AutoRuns program: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx Also check with your firewall that tc-recv.exe is allowed both incoming and outgoing access to the Internet. Just a couple of suggestions - no promises that this will make things work.
