All else having failed I removed the EKU, blew it to remove any dust, re-seated it in its socket and rebooted the receiver PC. So far so good - normal reception resumed.

Good to know you are back up and running, Robert. Checking the eToken properties is part of the standard install process, so it might be worth reviewing that.
