Roger,
The delayed Write failure causes bad data to be written to all drives on
the system, so once it happens you are dead in the water.

I can't understand why you had to format your D: drive. I set my systems
up
with multiple partitions precisely for the reason that I can reload
Windows
and programs on the C: (formatting if necessary), yet preserve data and
downloads on my other partitions.

|another new one and reformatted the D: drive on another computer.
