MSG PAYMENT PROBLEMS SORTED

I got an E-mail from John M0ADS, He sugested sending the euro CASH via the
royal mail, so I went to the PO and was told that what I want is " SIGNEDFOR
" the cash is insured and must be signed for at the other end, you can send
anything of value useing this service, it cost me �3.68 all incl and should
be there tomorrow, I can also track it on the internet..

Barry, you cannot get your e-token until you have the necessary
licence from your country's licensing authority which for us will be
the UK Met. Office.

So therefore you will need to pay twice to Eumetsat, once for the
software today and once for the eToken later, so there will be two
lots of bank charges. This is unfortunate, but it's the way it is
right now. You will be able get data until March without the
eToken, so there's plenty of time to save up!

Compared to the cost of receiving the data directly from Meteosat 7,
with a large dish for high-resolution PDUS reception, and the key
unit, and the receiver, a few pounds for bank charges is quite
insignificant, although I agree that any extra cost should be
minimised.
