Had an ICOM 7300 before and was intending to stay with the ICOM family but they don't have anything comparable. Thought about the ICOM FT101 but could not justify the $3000 price tag. Maybe if I was a contestor I could but... no. Really like this radio. The receive function seems somewhat better than my 7300 and I can route the display to a much larger external monitor. It also has a much better Digital Noise Reduction system on the this radio compared to the 7300. 73 all Jimmy W4MUF |
