6G phones in the making

Seems they are already working on 6G technology for smartphones, etc. Story here.

At that implementation, I will be two G's behind.

Would anyone like to make a scheduled simplex QSO?

WW0CJ Colin

I'd love to work more people on 2m/70cm simplex, but all I've got is my 5w HT and my signal stick antenna. I think I could reach stations down through Williamson County or potentially people on the opposite side of downtown Nashville. I'm operating out of Forest Hills. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to get in the log.

Also happy to make some HF contacts if anyone needs a contact in Virginia (FM16) or North Caroline (EM96) from the remote stations I use!

Try keying up on digital and annouce your call so that the fusion is listening and then do the WiRES-X within 20 seconds. The hotspot may not being hereing the burst in time. You also might want to change the "RF hang time" on fusion to 25-30 seconds. I have to do this on my hotspot as I have DMR, Fusion, and P25 all on at the same time. But this could be the case for you as well.      73 de N4LLC

Make sure your frequency, and dg id are set correctly. Also make sure fusion is turned on. In the pi star software you can scroll down to southeast link, and connect that way, or if you have WiRES-X pass through turned in the hot spot, you can search for southeast link that way.

RF Exposure Book (Attached)

Fellow Simplextons:
I know we don't have any hard and fast rules, but the FCC does, so here's a free (yes, free) book in PDF format for your download, courtesy of the ARRL that tells EVERYTHING you need to know about the station evaluation as well as the why's and wherefores (as well as the when, how and who) of the requirements.

As they kept saying about COVID, we're all in this together, but actually we're all doing it independently.

Attached file is 8MB, so beware if you're downloading to a Fartsmoan or Tablet.
