Porcupine Ballast siding

Geoff

Between Harcourt and Ravenswood, c1863, just to the south of the "The Porcupine" where the Bendigo road crossed the 'Main line', there existed a ballast siding. The substantial stone crushing machines situated there, were allegedly fed by a tramway from a "bluestone" quarry at a nearby hill.
Is anything regarding this operation known? We currently have very little other specific detail, other than that the siding was entered in the up direction.
