Vulcan USA Locos to Australia

bjr2105

Hi all,

I was talking with a colleague of mine tonight about Vulcan locos from USA that came to Australia which led me to look at the Vulcan list which I share here (looks to be a total of 11 locos).

From what I know, 2505 and 2513 became NSWGR 1022 & 1023, 2532-2533 & 2540-2541 were at Henderson naval Base in Western Aust, but not sure about the rest…

Maybe others can fill the information gap from their researches.

Kind regards,

Bruce Rankin

There were eleven steam and three internal combustion locomotives from Vulcan Iron Works in Australia. WIlliam Adams was agent for all of them.

Hi John,

Thanks for the reply.  I had an idea this was a simple one (and I missed a couple).

Regards,

Bruce
