I finally found Tony Smith's post.
From looking at the SIX maps and sliding back and forth between the
current and 1943 maps, even allowing for a slight misalignment it is
very clear that the southbound traffic lanes of present day O'Connell
St occupy most of the ground where the SFL yard was located.
The present day Court *building* is set back from O'Connell St and
does not sit at all on the former tramway formation as far as it is
discernable on the 1943 map.
The physical "shaved" corner where the tracks turned into the yard is
now the actual street corner..... I travel through this location twice
a week and know it well.
Attached is a locality map for the former Gate House Hotel, which
shows the tram line.
