I think one of the problems may be that for many youngsters (and even some
wrinklies) the level of knowledge and experience shown in the pages of the
Journal and at Meetings is rather daunting.

It's not that the will is not there to put displays at various model
railway exhibitions. I've said on a number of occasions that we should
set up displays and sales tables at a lot

There was a stand at the Blackheath Narrow Gauge Convention back in
1998 - that was when I joined the society - and at last year's at
Albury.

A junior affiliation would be a great idea! I remember when I joined the
ILRMS it cost me $15 or something easily within my year 11 at school budget.

The LRRSA is attending the Croydon (Melbourne) Model Railway exhibition next weekend (2nd and 3rd of Sept) and we need people to help man that.
