Yesterday, using eBird, Hal Cohen reported nearly 900 Swainson's hawks lifting off from Borrego Springs in San Diego County near Anza-Borrego State Park. Today he reported another 123. Many of these birds could be moving over Los Angeles County today and tomorrow on their way up into the Central Valley, so keep looking up!
