Jim,
Sorry you will miss the clinic, but an engine is necessary :) Good luck with the install and hope to see you at a clinic soon.
Thanks for canceling your reservations and if not done so already please go and delete your name from the clinic database.

Luke

Flagman or Jarhead,
I have taken the quiz on 8900 and sent in results a few weeks ago.  Received a reply that I did pass but did not have an FFI #.  Hopefuly it will be on file.  Happy to take it again if needed.  Just hate to muddy the water at FFI headquarters with a duplicate submission.

All,

In addition to what Ron has said, if you intend to take a checkride you must take and pass the quiz on the FFI website.  Additionally, you must notify either Jarhead or me one week prior to the clinic so that we can assure that you have taken and passed the quiz.  We will not give checkrides to anyone who has not passed the quiz.

Best,

Flagman

Hi all--

A quick note with a couple reminder items.

We're less than 3 weeks out from the clinic now, and the pace is
beginning to quicken.

Please ensure what you've got your hotel reservations made.

Please let Luke know your experience level via his questionaire that he
sent earlier. This will give us a starting point to form a schedule.

For those that are seeking a either a check ride OR an endorsement to
take a check ride ----> READ and KNOW the new 8900.1 airshow ops. This
WILL be part of your oral check for your card. You can find all of this
information on the FFI.AERO web site, but here is a quick link to click
->

Looks like the weather here in Texas has finally flipped to spring, and
we should be well into summer by April !

See you in 3 weeks.

Formation Flyers,
We are basically a week out!  Still too soon to know what the WX will do here in Texas.  Really, hoping for a nice weekend and good WX for all of us to travel in as well.  We will make the decision regarding WX if we have to early enough so no one incurs room charges.  Make sure you are studying "The Formation Book" and looking over all the files posted on the clinic site.  Please come with a flexible mindset and geared up to fly.  It will be FUN and your flying skills will be improved and challenged! You will take a new skill or brushed up your skills.
Blue Skies,
Luke

Weather and Clinic

Bobby Lucroy

Good Morning All,
As we all know one of the most challenging things from a flying standpoint is weather.  I know you all are looking at the WX as well excited about coming to the clinic.  That said I will make the final call Wednesday as we need 48 hours to cancel our rooms and not incur charges.  I know the WX folks make a lot of drama out of it which makes the decision even harder these days. So to be transparent right now I am thinking we will not be able to do the clinic for several reasons:
1.  There is a 60% chance of rain with embedded T-storms on Saturday which is our primary Fly day ( and in Texas T-storms can be quick and wicked)
2.  There is no place to hangar our planes, its just not worth the risk
3.  Possible to be marginal flying and challenging for folks to get home
4.  I am not going to spend others financial resources unless it is pretty dang close to being optimal for a productive flying clinic
5.  We have a backup date of April 26-28 in place (I know some still can't make that but hopefully most)
I know it is only Tuesday morning but Please make sure you are checking your email Wednesday afternoon/evening and cancel your hotel room if we have to cancel.
That is all for now.  I hope you all have a great day!
Blue Skies,
Luke

CLINIC UPDATE!!! IMPORTANT... Action Required

Bobby Lucroy

Good Morning All,
As much as it pains me I am going ahead and making the call.  I will be either a hero or zero but the call it to postpone the clinic until April 26-28, 2019.  So we will NOT be having the clinic this weekend (April 5-6)!  There is too much risk with thunderstorms pushing through and marginal WX Sunday morning.  I know we all are disappointed but I think you all needed to know sooner vs. later.   I have let Jamie know at the FBO so there is no need to contact her and let her know you are not coming.  We do realize the backup weekend as stated in our very first email will be the same weekend as the KC clinic.  But due to KC Flight and Falcon Flight having Airshows coming up we tried to pick one that would not conflict hoping we would not need the backup. We wanted to avoid a clinic in the summer months here in Texas.
So the plan now is to hold the clinic on April 26-28.
Actions Required:
1.  Cancel your hotel reservations ASAP!  Hampton (903) 464-9010
2.  If you want to still attend the new clinic date go ahead and make a room reservation for those dates (April 26 & 27) 2 nights.
3.  If you plan to attend the clinic you can leave your name in the database
4.  If you can not make the clinic please REMOVE your name from the database
Thanks for your patience but WX is something we cannot control.  Our hope is we may pick up some attendees that could not make it due to Sun n Fun.
Please don't sign up for both of the clinics (KC Flight & Falcon Flight).  It makes it a nightmare from a planning standpoint/scheduling.  That said we both (KC & Falcon Flight) will work with folks that would like to attend last minute if slots are available or due to WX changes.  We will support each other as we want to grow FFI.
Thanks in advance for taking care of the Required Items.
Blue Skies,
Luke

Thanks for the quick call.  I deleted my registration in the database.  Any other weekend and I’m back in.   Was looking forward to two clinics in April.

On the other hand, regardless of the weather, we all should be able to make one or the other J   Might turn out to be a great plan!

Thanks again for setting this up.  WX just sucks sometimes.

Blue Skies,
Luke

If you can cancel mine (it might still be active). For the life of me I can figure out yahoo groups, sorry.

I’m still going to the one in Sherman, Texas

Thanks,

Thanks for the quick call. I deleted my registration in the database. Any other weekend and I’m back in. Was looking forward to two clinics in April.

On the other hand, regardless of the weather, we all should be able to make one or the other ☺ Might turn out to be a great plan!

Thanks again for setting this up. WX just sucks sometimes.

Subject: [KGYI-2019-FormationClinic] CLINIC UPDATE!!! IMPORTANT... Action Required
