Arcsecond per pixel setup question

In the Star Shape tool you select the profile you are using for your image. Then the arcsecond/pixel is displayed.
It must be used for the some of the statistics displayed in that tool (and maybe others.) Lamar |

I think it's just a tool to work out the arcsec/px for your rig, i.e. just a useful stat, but I don't think it gets used anywhere in IP; at least I've never seen anything that uses it...
