swans, Boise

Folks - Two swans over by Marianne Williams Park. An adult and a grey bird (cygnet). We saw them in retaining ponds from E. Warm Springs, location is at https://goo.gl/maps/YpPrYbc3LipNrDsq7. Definitely not mute swans, probably tundras, but could have been trumpeters. Didn't have binos so couldn't get suitable look at them from Warm Springs. Todd |

Those may be the two Trumpeter swans that have been at Hyatt Hidden lakes reserve until it mostly froze over the last couple of days. We were wondering where they went. Thanks fir info. Sandra and Luis Zarate Boise On Jan 28, 2023, at 10:52 AM, Todd Katzner <todd.katzner@...> wrote:

this Trumpeter pair has had quite the journey this winter...I first found them just below and downstream from the old Bens Crow Inn access in mid December. Then Bike for Birds found them At Quinn's Pond around the holidays. Then they were at Hyatt Hidden Lakes
for a couple weeks and now they are back upstream again. I imagine there were other sightings in other locations along the Boise River as well. Would have been fun to see all their travels with a GPS tracker. One other note...the juvenile bird has been morphing
ever so slowly, out of its grey plumage.
