Triumph

Hi All,

I'm an Oregon resident and a new member of your listserv. I'm going to be coming through Idaho in about a week and have seen Black Rosy Finches reported in Triumph (Blaine County) on ebird. I'm planning on going there to see if they're still about. Has anyone been there and if so can you please share any tips on specifically where the birds have been seen? Thank you. I really appreciate any assistance!

Hi Chris,
We saw them a few weeks ago. They are pretty easy to see as several residents provide seed for them. It’s kind of hard to park along the road because there is so much snow so we drove up Victor Dr, parked, walked across Eastfork road, then walked around Triumph Circle. A couple of locals came out and talked to us. One of them invited us onto her back porch to get really great views. Even managed to get a Hepburn’s (ssp?). Good luck to you!

Thank you Sarah! And thank you to Peter and Micah who replied to me directly. I think I have a decent idea on the lay of the land now. Really appreciate all of the great information!
