Re: Anna's Hummingbird
I’ve had Anna’s in the past through the winter but they always came to the feeder so were Accustomed to that when flowers froze. My problem with these 2 this fall is they are not coming to feeder

Re: Anna's Hummingbird
You can connect with Fred Erland in New Meadows. He had an Anna's all winter two years ago. Fred is on eBird and FB. Maybe IBLE, too.

our Anna's this year was the opposite, didn't go to any of our blooming

In Caldwell we still have 2 Anna’s coming to the blooming Pineapple Sage plants and other salvia. They don’t come to the feeder at all. I know the freezing temps will wipe out the flowers. Got

Re: Anna's Hummingbird
Wonderful. Just had another visit of an Anna’s at our house in the Highlands this evening. Got some photos this time. Feeding on the Red Salvias And then checking out the feeders.

Jon,
Great pics! It must be Coopers hawk day because I just had one criss-cross in front of me along my walk. He had immature fine streaks but altogether handsome as always.
We have one picking

Caught in the Act
Normally I only get immature Cooper’s Hawks, but this morning an adult male showed up on my bird perch!
I got a good action shot… and some others as well… Enjoy this beautiful day!
