Hi Birders,

This morning with SUN I decided to go to the LC valley to take some photos
of what every I could find!

Animals of Note: River Otter -2

Asotin Co. Birds:
Bewick's Wren
Song Sparrow
WESTERN SCREECH OWL perched in a Wood Duck Box at the Asotin SPT Sough

Swallows Park:
Ring-billed Gull
Herring Gull
California Gull
LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL
Possible Thayer's Gull but most of the time they were tucked
Song Sparrow

Lewiston - Confluence Area:
Northern Shoveler
Belted Kingfisher
American Wigeon
Barrow's and Common Goldeneye
Hooded Merganser
Black-crowned Night-Herron
Great Blue Herron
Bald Eagle - juvenile
Mallard - I quit counting at 3800 standing on the ice at West Pond - there
were probably closer to 5000 total birds on the ice
Lesser Scaup
Ring-necked Duck
Wood Duck

Central Grade:
Red-tailed Hawk
GOLDEN EAGLE - JUVENILE
American Kestrel

Driving to Lewiston this am I SAW NO HAWKS IN THE 31 MILES BETWEEN MOSCOW
AND LEWISTON.
