Today's Meeting

Lucinda Shastid

Everybody knitted!

Shelley worked on a mitten with a no-repeat graph: she had to count every row.

Joan repeated a slip-stitch cowl she'd done before with reversed colors (lots of left-over yarn).

Susan swatched for a pillow of yarn from her farm.

Teresa had some bright, bright blue mittens.

Jane tweaked/finished pieces of a green sweater and then tried it on (to general approval).

Lucinda knitted the sleeve of a multi-color sweater.

Conversation was varied, of course, but mostly centered on chores: chores for the season (making and decorating gingerbread cookies), chores and spouses, tips on good ways to perform chores, chores and children, anecdotes/stories about chores, equipment and supplies to make chores easier.  What can I say?  It's what we've been doing.

It was a good send-off to 2019.  We look forward to seeing everyone in 2020: January 4, to be precise.

Teresa worked on a bulky mobius cowl.

Edie did a darling baby Gansey sweater.

Lucinda knitted a multi-color block sweater and eventually spun a little bit, just to keep our group name accurate.

Charlene had a black and red-gold poncho.

Susan made a hat of yarn from her own sheep.

Catherine continued on her Icelandic wool lace shawl.

Shelley started a sock (after ripping out the first version).

Discussion topics were mostly health and OT-(p-word).

Someone asked about the blanket we made for Patty's family - a lot cabin pattern?  I looked on the groups.yahoo site for a photograph, but all of our photos are inaccessible.

Does anyone have a copy of that blanket?  Or the name of the pattern?
