Hi Lucinda

I didn't bring the Hanson to PA after all. I ended up being busy meeting with friends and helping my husband with his car restoration.

I probably won't be coming to the meeting on Saturday after all.
A friend and I will probably be going to the VKL Marketplace. I need to talk with an Irish knitwear designer with whom I took a class when I went to Ireland in May. She will be there.
If I don't end up going,  I'll come to the meeting.

How was Pennsylvania?  How did your miniSpinner work?

I hear you about the weather - the forecast keeps pushing it later and later, so I hope we can safely get through our meeting and home again.

Who else has spun or plans to spin their pet's yarn?

I may be able to spin with Cricket’s fur but I’d have to save it for a long time. I get such a small amount each time I comb her.

Try toilet bowl cleaner with bleach. If that doesn’t work, there is grout “paint” one can buy. I haven’t tried it, but it’s what I would turn to if the cleanser doesn’t work. Good luck!

Thanks for asking! I’m working on an adult version now that is more contemporary but incorporates many of the original design features. I will make the pattern to accommodate various adult sizes.

I don't know about pattern generators, but Ann Budd's Handy Book of Sweater Patterns could help--it includes a set-in sleeve pattern. It would mean knitting (and washing) probably a swatch in the pattern stitch and then lots of other decisions. But if you know your gauge and the sweater circumference (including ease), it's do-able.
