If you are interested in alternatives, I use these from Amazon and I haven’t experienced anything adverse. And now that I look at my order history, I will tell you I paid a lot more than $10 for them then and just added a package to my cart. ;)

If you want to try the KP mats, they are typically on sale during the Big Sale (look for it around Nov. 18th this year), either as just a sale item or as part of a special one-day promotion—KP runs several of these throughout the sale, like a $1 pattern sale one day, a BOGO day, etc.

I haven’t used the KP mats so can’t offer any specific feedback on that.

Ladies,
A few months ago I forwarded a request from Maria Reino who works at West Patent E.S., to ask for help with this project to send hand made hats to Paradise School District in CA which was so devastated by fire last year. This is still ongoing and she and her group are reaching out again as a gentle nudge/reminder that all contributions are greatly welcome and needed.
As you can see they are rather short of their total. So, if any of you lovely knitters or crocheters would like to participate feel free to reach out to Maria or bring your beautiful home made hats to the Library and I will make sure they get to her. Thank you so much for your consideration.
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and next week.
All the best.
Margaret

Hi Margaret!
Hope you had a nice summer and that you and your family are well.

Our deadline is approaching, we have 87 days left! So far we have a little over 60 hats and our goal is 250+. Will your knitting club(s) be willing to be a part of our project?. Last week we spoke to a member of the administration from Paradise School District and they are beyond excited about getting the hand knitted hats for their students. We would love for members of the Bedford Village Community to join us on this important and meaningful cause.
Attached I’m sending a flyer regarding our project as well as the article published on a local newspaper.
Thank you so much, Margaret!
All the best,
Maria

Can you tell all of us about it?

Thanks,

People:

Shelley knitting

Jane knitting (a hat!) and spinning on her Nano

Annie knitting and adding hair plugs to a dog (knitted dog, that is, with hair plugs of yarn)

Lucinda spinning

Sharon (a newcomer) crocheting

Topics were mostly children (2-legged and 4-legged) and grandchildren (ditto).

Our next meeting will be in two weeks, on Saturday, October 5.  There will be no meeting on Saturday, Oct 19 (Rhinebeck) but we'll meet on the 26th instead for a show-and-tell.
