Great idea

"judi" <judiknit@...>

I was thinking of this group just the other day as I was sending out some nice links to my
knitting and spinning guilds. Let me know if that is something you'd be interested in for this
group. Wonderful ideas and patterns seem to pop up periodically on the net and there have
been a flurry of on line free magazines as well.
I am looking forward to our next meeting.

Hi Judi,

Sounds good to me! I am new to this and appreciate all the help I can
get.

I can't wait for our next meeting.

This is great

"Joe Zygala and Lucinda Shastid" <jzygala@...>

Hi, all. This will be a great convenience - thanks, Teresa!

By the way, I went to the Enfield meeting (central upper CT) of the Nutmeg
Spinners Guild today. Their guest speaker at the April 4 meeting is
<ta-dah!>: Abby Franquemont, the Goddess of Spindling. Abby was brought up
in Peru and learned the spinning and the culture. It should be a great
meeting, if anyone is interested enough to drive there.

In the meantime, I look forward to seeing everyone (or a lot of ones) at the
Farm on Feb. 21.

Regards,

Lucinda
Lower NY, where it meets Connecticut

Re: This is great

Hayslope <hayslope@...>

Do you think we should direct people here in advertising and on the
farm's web site so that everyone can benefit from questions and answers?

I will try to remember to bring my camera next meeting so we can post
photos of everyone's work.

I'm so glad you have a group! It's so much easier to communicate with
everyone.

If you don't mind, I'm going to send a link to my group - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Northern_Westchester_Stitch_n_Bitch/

So many of us are learning to spin, and loving every minute of it -
thanks again!

I'm glad you are joining!!!

Let's put links on both of our groups to each other.

Spinning is way too much fun and addicting.

See you on Saturday.

There is a $20 guest fee now for non-members planning to come to the
meeting. I don't know if you heard that part at the meeting--people have to
sign up with me BEFORE they come up because our space is limited for
non-members. I am keeping a list and MUST know who is coming in advance.

Please ask your friends to either email me (preferred) or call me at
860-654-1708 to sign up. The list is filling fast. I put a big notice up
on Ravelry, and it will also be up on the website later today AND will be in
the March newsletter.

Great!

Abby will be giving a full-day workshop on spindling on Sunday - already overbooked just from the members - and I'll stay for it.  I'm going to get a hotel there overnight.

So we won't be carpooling, but I'll see you there.

Thanks for the invite and help needed.

"katherinemaldonado" <Katherine.Maldonado@...>

Thanks for the invite to this group.

My daughter Kayla and I really enjoyed the last meeting. I have since
purchased her a drop spindle which came with a little fleece and she
has done some practicing ... I was no help to her. ;-(

Anyway, I know there is a group that meets on Monday evening and was
wondering if you were meeting this coming Monday Feb. 16 so that she
could bring her spindle and someone could help her out.

Unfortunately because of school she will not be able to make the next
Saturday meeting.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Hi Katherine,

Nice to hear from you! I am glad Kayla got her spindle.

Where is the group that meets Monday eve? Maybe if it is not too late I
can meet her there and help her with her new spindle.
