HP part s list

Pete Williams

I  have   acquired  a   thick  folder listing   HP  part number  for  all   semiconductors    ---fets,  IC     diodes  etc  together  with  the   components  specifications  and   possible  equivalents
Th  loose leaf  folder is   about  1.5  inch  thick  but  can  be posted altho a  bit  weighty.
ALL  offers  to be  considered...  location is  Brisbane  Australia

This sounds like something that would be great to have scanned and placed online. Pete, do you have any more identifying information about this document? Based on the fact that there are component specifications, it sounds like it’s different from the existing HP part cross references available online.

If a few people want to pitch in, I could purchase it and would be happy to scan and OCR it and post the results. But I’m in the US so it might make more sense for someone a bit closer to do this.

I would be willing to support a group purchase and even help with scanning if needed.

Sorry, should have specified that I am also in the USA. So not near by to Pete. But this sounds like a valuable resource for the group!

I as well would be more than glad to contribute money and/or time - it would be a tremendous resource to have.

Hal

That is something that would be very useful in the files section after a high res scan.
There are several parts listings available. It would also be wise to spot check your parts list stack against anything already posted to make sure that it is not a duplicate.

Hi Pete
do you think you enough have time and energy to take a look at what cross reference info is already in the Files section, compare it with what you have,  and report your findings to the group? Along with your valuation of your accumulated info? I simply would not know what kind of price to put on it. Perhaps a more detailed description (number of pages, and a breakdown of how much is printed reference material and how much your own hard won notes) would help in assigning a value.

thank you for offering this to the group, by the way!

1818  Memory,  1820 IC-linear, and IC- Digital_ 1826 IC-linear,   Where  appropriate  description and   specifications are  shown...  There  are  also  JEDEC part  numbers cross  references  and equivalents.

Hi Pete,

Would you be able to send us just a few pictures of representative
pages? That would go a long way toward determining whether this document
contains new information and should take less than a few minutes on your
end.

Thanks!
Matt

Hey Matt, LSSM has taken this on, and will get it scanned and made publicly available. This was not cheap (shipping from Australia..); donations are not necessary but are appreciated.

No info yet; the package has not yet arrived. It's being shipped slow-boat from Australia, so it may be a while. I know it has already been shipped, at least.

What a pity. I'm sometimes too busy to read all messages in this list.
So missed this whole thread till now.
I'm in Sydney Australia, and could have bought those materials, taken
and posted photos, and scanned them if needed.
Also would have greatly appreciated having the originals.

Too late!
Guy

PS. Anyone _else_ in Australia with original HP historic materials and
considering sending them over to USA, please email me first.

I'm sorry that you consider our museum getting these documents for scanning, preservation, and release to be "a pity" and "too late". I can't prevent you from getting ahold of them once we release them, but after reading this, if I could, I would.

The thread being discussed occurred *weeks ago*. And you propose that people should trust emailing you?

Well, the shipping carrier made some money on the deal that it wouldn't have if Guy had known about it earlier, that's for sure.         Jim Ford, Laguna Hills, California, USA
