Ken, Please share some photos of the trucks and point out where you think the possible problems lie. Some of the bolsters on my HOn3 brass are rather simple, but they are not power trucks either. Mart

off hand, i'm going to suggest you try to find an old HO scale KATO mechanism. they came in some atlas locos and i think, some atheran. anyway, these are able to be re-gauged to HOn3 with some effort.

i too use the N scale couplers on my HOn3 stuff. i have found, especially on the cars i scratch build, the microtrains N scale lends itself to easier mounting. YUKON It may not be acceptable to others

It may not be acceptable to others but I have used N Scale Couplers on some of my HOn3 cars, especially ones that I rarely uncouple like ore or passenger equipment.

You can use nylon washers to shim the car up on the trucks. The appearance may not be acceptable, Kadee has standard couplers staring with the 158 that may work. Check their website. Good luck

True, sorry, I was thinking of standard gauge. I had tried taking two couplers, and actually cutting both so they would over lap, then filed both to raise the coupler height and super gluing them toge

i AM NOT AWARE OF ANY offset couplers by kadee in NG. The only easy option is washers at the bolsters or glue on a filler piece in lieu of washers. Lloyd Lehrer, 310 9519097

Kadee has couplers with the head centered on the shank, high on the shank, or low on the shank. Check their site out.

The locomotive does have pickup on both sides of the rail. There is some extra wires coming from the tender that can be used for accessories that are not used from the factory. Look up the rewiring of
