Re: Precision Scale WSLC Heisler
My Heisler didn't have the original box. It has a name plate on the frame saying Made in Japan. I'm guessing it's the early model.

Re: Best Decoder/Sound System for a Balboa C-21
S0586 sound file from a narrow gauge K27 2-8-2. ESU decoders come blank, you will need a supplier with the ability to burn the decoder. The decoder is a V5, a micro version is the smallest. ESU now

I should probably also add that I’m looking for a specific mode number or name. Thanks for the advice so far.

Re: Best Decoder/Sound System for a Balboa C-21
ESU Loksound micro is an alternative. The decoder size is usually not an issue, it's the speaker. Try "sugar cube" speakers. If you can get a speaker in the boiler all the better.

Best Decoder/Sound System for a Balboa C-21
So I just purchased a brass Balboa C-21 and I'm wondering what kind of decoder/speaker I should get for it. I'm thinking Soundtraxx as I think that might be the only brand to fit. I would appreciate

Better yet. Just take the paper and lay it over the sleeve. Take the cracked part and put it on top the paper and push it down into the sleeve. The paper will give way and take the new new form

On a 3 .14mm OD socket, a nominally 1/8" ID K&S brass tube will need some shimming to get a tight fit.
A light hard paper should suffice. Cut the paper just

Hello again
I’m trying the sleeving. I haven’t been able to get a real tight fit with the 1/8 sleeve. Don’t know if I should add some silicone or squeeze the sleeve together a bit. I would think

Don,
You might try to print it in a light silver. Depending an the background color it might appear white.
The C&S used aluminum leaf on their loco’s and many thought it was white.

Re: HO D&RG Refrigerator White Decal
Don,
One more thought. Do you have a photo editing program? Try scanning black lettering, then use the “Negative” option. The background should be black and the letters would be white.
