Thanks for the replies.
Russ, my ground throws didn't come with rods of different lengths. In fact, they were attached as one piece. I'll have to look out for them online I suppose.

Thanks, Dave, that’s a very good idea, about the wire or thread thru the spring.
And, yes, outer space is getting way too cluttered, so I will do m part to reduce the clutter. 😀

I use the Caboose Industries sprung ground throws. They come with a variety of connecting rods of different length mounted on a sprue. I generally use a longer rod that keeps the ground throw

It appears (in my world) that the throw bar on the switch is too short. You have the same Caboose Industries product that I use.

Actually I did improve on the string through the spring trick a few years back. I found some .003 copper magnet wire on a spool. I take about 2 to 3 inches of that and run it through the

Just as a suggestion when working with tiny springs. Before trying to put them in place take a needle and thread and run a thread lengthwise through the spring. Then put the spring in place and

Unfortunately Ragg's never produced an HO version just S & O scales of the Ouray Depot. Crested butte Depot is somewhat close, but it would be a lot more work to modify it to look close to Ouray.

The building itself is pretty much identical save for the roof. Kitbashing is a legitimate tool.
