I have always felt that MR geared a lot of its articles to beginners in the hobby, while RMC seemed to have more for the experienced modeler. That was the main reason I dropped my subscription to MR.

I wouldn't get too excited yet. They have the web site with all the back issues on there. That's a big driver for them. The cost of a subscription is worth it (IMHO) for the amount of material there.

Railroad Model Craftsman vs Model Railroader Magazine
I was in Railroad Hobbies hobby shop in Roseville last week, and while visiting the magazine rack, compared the current issue of "Model Railroader" with the current issue of "Railroad Model Craftsman"

The Wuiske Models are pretty easy to convert from HOn3.5 to Hon3. Takes about 10 or 15 minutes. Mike May and I have an article submitted to The Gazette a couple of months ago on models we both

Zach,
From your business base of HO standard gauge customers, I can see where you might think narrow gauge modeling is in a decline, but that isn't the case.
I do agree with your comment about not

The Wuiske diesels are nice but pretty expensive to experiment with, plus they represent heavy mainline service. If you were looking for heavy power, it would be cheaper to go this route:

This was mentioned, mostly about the fact someone is making them. I've seen the Shapeways ones as well, although I haven't bought one.

Zack Pabis,
In your post above, regarding your building of WP&Y diesel units in HOn3...why did you say...."With waning interest for narrow gauge stuff ".....?????
What waning interest? Where did

Re: WTB-Drop Bottom Gondola
I built and sold 38 NG diesels converted from Bachmann 70t std. ga. models w/DCC and LED reversible lighting using a NWSL kit. Some had sound as well. The detail was very good and they ran very well.
