Re: Turntable kit - a possible approach?
I've had a handful of comments about doing the EBT turntable as a kit. This is similar to the one in Durango like Kitwood Hills sold. I bring this up because I am having EBT structure kits produced

Found this in my file folders! Does anyone remember the magazine it came from!
I believe it was published in 1985!

Re: Pilot Truck question
How much weight would you say you're adding to the truck to make it track correctly?
Thanks

Re: Pilot Truck question
The problem with springs with lead trucks especially is they have the effect of “lifting” the front drivers off the rails, thereby reducing traction and increasing the likelihood of derailments

Re: Pilot Truck question
There are very few models which mount correctly. And none I am aware of in HO(n3)... We use too tight radius compared to the prototype. Generally the prototype has equalization to transfer weight

Turntable kit - a possible approach?
I was looking at Waynes email regarding Bill Banta possibly doing a Taos depot kit (I'm not intersted BTW, interesting as it is) but needed 25 commitments. Not sure how many have put their hands up

Mark:
Thanks for the tip!
There are some painted/lettered 319s on Ebay for $300.00 at the moment.
I really think that we're in a "bubble" right now, so I'll wait.
Gratefully,
Bill

D&RGW vestibuled passenger cars.
You might find the Soho version of the 319 a bit more common than the Balboa and there is also the PSC model of the same, more expensive but better detail. As for trucks, sadly the best are

Re: Pilot Truck question
In most cased model railroad radius is much shaper than prototype and the only way for a scale locomotive to stay on the tracks is to make the leading and trailing trucks more free to swing.
