My previous experience is limited to a small live steam layout in our backyard garden about 20 years ago and building several fine scale 1:20.3 narrow gauge rail cars for display at the same time.
I recently retired and I wanted another hobby that would keep me busy when the weather gets bad for my other outdoor hobbies.
I decided on a small indoor layout and I was going back and forth between HO & O, when I happened upon a local ad for an estate sale of a large HOn3 collection.
I  have a very limited amount of space and ended up with 4’x 8’. The estate belonged to a one time employee of Micro-Trains, so a lot of Micro-Trains and Kadee HOn3.
Most of the rolling stock is C & S with a bit of DRG&W.
Anyway, I’m excited about my new hobby and and I bit overwhelmed at the same time.
